This was excellent and this is a great site which pays homage to Charlotte!

It's got to come out on dvd one day but I hope I'm still alive by then!

Can't believe it's not repeated but if you try and compare with modern day kids t.v. this appears VERY rough round the edges and far too near the knuckle to be accepted as a kids fun programme in this mollycoddled nanny-state P.Correct era we're forced to live in!

ALL OF CHARLOTTES' STUFF SHOULD BE MADE AVAILABLE; not just Worzel Gummidge / "Oranges......."/ and Four Weddings................

Excellent. I remember reading the books as a kid, but I'd never seen the TV series (and didn't know it came first), so the clips were interesting. I also recall a girl in my primary school class dressing up as Marmalade for a no-uniform day.

Wonderful stuff, kids TV today seems so timid and patronising in comparison... Marmalade still a rudegirl, I want this on DVD for my kids!

Ah, only short clips :( not the full episodes. thanks for the links anyway. I'll keep trawling the net for the series.

I did find this place that had a full length episode but you need to be some kind of member to access it >:| it least some full episodes do exist in some form or another on the net:

Finally, I've found a Marmalade site with CLIPS!! Ace, brought back lots of memories. Marmalade Atkins was my first ever crush, which I didn't really understand at the time because I was only 6! I just remember thinking "none of the girls at MY school are like HER"!!
I've signed the DVD petition too and will be telling a few other people who may remember Marmalade to do the same. It'd be a nice tribute to Charlotte Coleman who was in loads of other cool stuff like "The Young Poisoner's Handbook" post-Marmalade.
But she'll always be Marmalade to me, cock! ;-)

I want marmalade on DVD.

RIGHT

NOOOOOOOOOOOOW

(insert screaming tantrum)

I was horrified to find I can't get my paws on this series on DVD, yet crap like Friends and creepy stuff like Steve Irwin's Memorial are available. The world is not right!!!
So I hope it can be rectified asap!
Cheers
Lee :)

Bizarre really that a children't programme by Andrew Davies, Britain's most successful screenwriter and starring some of our best loved comic actors, including the much missed Charlotte Coleman and Joan Sims hasn't had a release. And judging by the tantalising clips here it really stands up. Sign the petition now cock!

He he he! Marmalade pages/sites are like policemen and buses in the good old English tradition! Good on you, Wendy Wooley (indeed!), for setting up this page to one of the best British TV shows ... ever! It's a crying shame that more isn't on the net about this classic, and even worse that the series is yet to see a commercial release. Thanks very much to Robert Fairbanks for setting up the petition - please, everyone sign it!!! While I'm here, if you're after more Marmaladey goodness - plug, plug! - please check out my Marmalade website at
http://www.angelfire.com/blog/marmaladeatkins/index.html
This should be up and running within the next couple of weeks, so keep your eyes peeled ... and your itching powder handy, cock!

All the best,

Paul

The Blessed Limit prayed and prayed
That good would come from Marmalade.
No sign of that, I am afraid,
She tops the bad girl hit parade ...

Let's toast to Marmalade!

I agree with Willo the Wisp and Marshall Bravestarr, Marmalade Atkins should be released on dvd.

If you type www.petitiononline.com/maratkin/petition.html it will automatically take you straight to the petition.

Thanks for creating such a great website dedicated to Marmalade Atkins.

Marmalade Atkins is one of my all time favourite kids TV shows.
I still have all the books and Annual.
Charlotte was made for this role :-)
Thanks for the wonderful memories.
It's a crime that this programme has never had a DVD release!
